We start filming at 10 am at Proctors Underground on Tuesday. A live audience is always welcome and there are plenty of seats. You can meet the guests in person and learn more about their projects or even get involved yourself.

Segment One
Tour de Cure! Ranked first in NYS – Cycling Event!
Guests: Denise Nicastro (Assoc. Dir. American Diabetes Assn - Albany) and Brian Dwyer (CFO Schenectady ARC)
The Tour de Cure is a series of fundraising cycling events held in 44 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. Whether you ride 10 miles or 100 miles, you will travel a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel the journey and fans to cheer you on! Each Tour de Cure event has its own character and style from unique starting points to gorgeous scenery and more!
Locally, the American Diabetes Association’s Saratoga Tour de Cure is the most prestigious cycling event in the Capital Region. Ranked first in the state and second out of 90 tours in the U.S., this event is part of a nationwide movement to Stop Diabetes® and change the future of the nearly 26 million Americans living with the disease. Last year’s Saratoga Tour de Cure drew more than 2,400 participants and raised $1.3 million, making it the Capital Region’s #1 fundraising event in 2014 in terms of net revenue raised, according to the Albany Business Review. This year’s goal is $1.5 million.

Segment Two
Proctors BIRTHDAY BASH – Tour and Organ Concert!
Guest: Janice Walz (Proctors Historical Committee)
Janice will fill us in on all the details of the party. Tours include history of both the theatre and FF Proctor, the extraordinary entrepreneur responsible for this “Palace for the People”. You will see the gorgeous theatre from an insider’s view. This includes the main theatre from the stage and backstage, dressing rooms and all those special places you have always been curious about. Other areas you may see on your tour are the surprising number of venues under this one roof. These include the GE Theatre, The Atrium, Key Hall, the Theatre Museum, the Historic Arcade, Open Stage Media Recording Studio, The Education Center, The Schenectady Visitors Center, among others.
Their next Tuesday free organ concert will be on March 17 and will feature Charles Jones.

A Teenage Sensation! -- From Glen, NY to Los Angeles and on THE VOICE!
Guest: Sawyer Fredericks (Singer, songwriter and performer)
Sawyer is 15 years old and started singing when he was very young and started playing the guitar only 3 years ago when he started writing his own music. He has appeared on NBC’s THE VOICE and wowed the panel of celebrity judges. He performed “I am a Man of Constant Sorrow” for the Blind Auditions on NBC’s THE VOICE (where the judges do not see the performer and only are able to listen). Sawyer lives with his family on an 88 acre farm in Glen.

Segment Four
A Classic Story – Peter Pan!

Classic tale of Peter Pan written by James M. Barrie about a boy who did not want to grow up. This play features the Darling Family, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Indians, pirates, mermaids, fairies, lost boys, Nana the dog and a Crocodile, with over thirty children playing these roles.
Directed by Jane Nielsen and produced by Eric Washburn, this classic tale will take you on a journey with Wendy, John, and Michael as they travel through time, to follow after Peter Pan and Tinker Bell. “Second star to the right, then straight on ‘til morning” will take you to the fantasy world of Neverland, for an ensuing adventure, complete with the lost boys, pirates, mermaids, Indians, and Peter’s chief foe Captain Hook.

Tax Credits for People with Disabilities
Guests: Melinda Burns – Co-Chair, of the CA$H Coalition and Chair of Disability Initiative Committee and David Galin – CA$H Program Director
This episode, CA$H Coalition of the Greater Capital Region will focus on tax credits for persons with disabilities. Details will include specific IRS publications for taxpayers to obtain more information regarding tax credits, deductions, taxable income, and non-taxable income. CA$H Coalition will also discuss accessible forms and publications, as well as steps to take during the year in order to ensure the largest refund possible. MyFreeTaxes.com will also be discussed as an alternative to in-person free tax preparation. Next month, CA$H Coalition will discuss tax season wrap-up.
The Creating Assets, Savings and Hope (CA$H) Coalition of the Greater Capital Region assists individuals and families to increase their financial self-sufficiency. CA$H Partners provide access to community resources, free income tax preparation, financial education and asset-building activities.
Assembly member Angelo Santabarbara, along with CA$H Coalition of the Greater Capital Region, United Way, Ellis Hospital, and Union College will be on hand to explain why free tax preparation and financial literacy is such a valuable service Schenectady County.

Schenectady Job Fair! Check out the Opportunities!
Guest: Peter Jones (Event Coordinator)
The purpose is to “connect” Employers looking for staff with applicants looking for jobs. To provide services to job seekers to help them be prepared for meeting a potential employer including Resume’ critique, Speed networking, and seminars aimed at improving their skills.
At the Job Fair: Over 30 employers expected. Variety of jobs being recruited for including but not limited to CNAs, HHAs, RNs, LPNs, General warehouse staff, Entry level positions in Post Office, Case Managers, Family Specialists, Transportation Supervisor, Class A Drivers, warehouse selector, etc.
